“I caught this 23.5 inch 7.75 lb brood stock rainbow trout from Faraday Lake in Estacada Oregon on a # 5 bleeding egg spinner. I seen this fish swimming around for about 45 minutes I tried everything I could think of even spoons but with no luck and then I remembered that my bleeding egg spinner was in my little tackle box in my pocket, I made two casts when that fish made a b-line for that spinner and fish on it splashed and jumped and made three line peeling runs before I finally got him to come close enough to be netted. “

I recently purchased a Wild X set from you. These lures are great man !!!!!! I have caught a Coho, 3 large Bull Trout and one 17" Rainbow in two short river trips with the Rainbow Lure and the Patriot Lure. These are made from quaility materials and are quite attractive to the fish here. I can imagine what they will be like in the spring and summer, I'm betting on really good !!!! Well, I'm really stoked on these spinners. Hope to hear back soon. Matt”

"Shai,
Just received my order in the mail and wanted to tell you that I am very impressed with the quality of your lures. I believe these are some of the best spinners on the market today, bar none. I will admit, I stumbled upon you site by accident, but am very glad I did. It is wonderful to see a high-quality, well-made product that people take pride in produced in the USA. I will indeed tell all my friends of your outstanding spinners and equally outstanding customer service. You will see future orders from me. Thanks again.
Erik"

"Hello Eric and Shai,
I just wanted to send a pic of a fish I took today with my float rod. I take any opportunity I can to use it and today was no exception. We got out onto the lake and worked a warm water discharge from a steel plant. I was drifting the current breaks that were being created by the strong flow and hooked and landed a nice steelhead and the attached picture of a 10lb 10oz brown. What a football he was. Man that rod performed flawlessly and handled that fish great even with 6lb line.
Thanks again!
Cory Yarmuth"

GETTING THE EDGE
by John McKean
Artistic, intertwined ice sculptures extended down the stream wall as several of us early, well bundled trout anglers attempted our ritualistic late winter trout outing. Most PA lake anglers remained bound to working holes in the ice, but certain streams designated "lure only, catch and release" provided the energetic few of us an escape from cabin fever! Of course, our water was barely above freezing temperatures and no one seemed to have the cure for trout lockjaw; except, I humbly hate to admit, me. In reflection, the really hefty rainbow that I was unhooking from my Berzerker was not only the largest trout anyone had seen that day, but my total of 16 browns and rainbows were the only ones I'd heard taken. It seemed a shame that these struggling anglers, despite spending a winter carefully tying bugs and flies, hadn't heard of Wyld Edge.
Stream spinner fishing is, of course, legendary for its productivity, yet today the precision tools we once had to work with have all but disappeared. Even famous companies import these formerly awesome lures, often being assembled by people who have never seen freshwater game fish or could care less about our grand sport. Lures just don't spin as smoothly or quickly as the old time in-line blade baits once did. Fortunately, we now have handcrafted, made in the good old USA Metalheads and Berzerkers that spin virtually at contact with water!
Years ago, famous Sports Afield outdoor writer Jason Lucas, a real fisherman who caught all manner of game fish better than just about anyone ever did, described in his famous book "Lucas on Bass" a true "miracle lure" that nailed anything swimming in a given area, from
bluegills to Muskie. It was a reliable working but rather plain spinner trailed by a tiny-hooked fly (the standard treble that came with the lure was replaced by the seemingly undersized fly). When I first saw the Wyld Edge web site I knew I was looking at the lure that old Jason had in mind, but with superior coloring and better assembled (and a neater tied fly!)!
Another old article appeared in the original Fishing Facts magazine, a" tell-it -like-it is "publication for which I eventually wrote. Columnist Al Kirkland revealed his personal "catch everything" lure: a small spinner carrying a single hook, trailed with a 3/4" long, very thin pork strip. Doesn't this sound like a 1/16 ounce bare hooked Berzerker? Just attach a tiny white rind, or, my favorite, a thin strip of rabbit. Mr. Kirkland advised that you'll take 10 big pan fish for every game fish that latches on, but be prepared for a hefty "mixed bag"!
As an ultra light bluegill and crappie enthusiast, I'm extremely excited about pulling the bite sized Berzerker past my feisty yet delicious slabs this spring. Other spinners, though attractive to these gamey species, usually sport awkward treble hooks which don't fit easily into a pan fish’s mouth regardless of their aggression. On the other hand, Berzerker's unique, sparse flies on small super sharp Gamakatsu hooks are easily inhaled and quickly impaled! Here's a hint: for trophy bluegill, try the baby snipe spinner with its cute looking partridge fly!
My longtime "secret method" for early spring pond largemouth bass was slowly retrieving a pure white in-line spinner near a deep bottom of a man-made dam. Trouble is the modern day imports do not spin at the required inch-along yet steady pace, and I've had to forego this often fabulous fishing during recent seasons. I can't wait to try a well functioning #3 Metalhead in the "patriot" color to awaken our area's post winter bass!
For all who have enjoyed a spinner fishing history, let this little
company take you on a "spin" down memory lane. To return to the joys of your youth, get an edge -- a Wyld Edge!!!

"Dear Wyld Edge,
I came across your site while looking for a replacement for the Panther Martin spinners I have always used, that are now manufactured in China and are obviously and inferior product from what I was used to. I saw that your Bezerker spinners have the same shaft-through-blade construction that the Panther Martins do to go along with a truly beautiful paint finish on the body and good looking blades.
When I saw the price of them I had to try them, and they work better than any style of Panther Martins I have ever used in 20 years of trout fishing in California's Eastern Sierras. Just by holding them you could tell it was a well-built product, and I was pleased to hear that they are all made in the USA (other than the razor sharp Gamakatzu hook) and the single hooks were another upgrade over the Panther Martins.
The first time I tried them was mid-day on a backcountry lake with no wind, so conditions were tough, but I managed over 20 Brook Trout in a span of about three hours as my fishing partner caught half as many on the new, chinese Panther Martins. Later on the same trip, I caught my personal best brown trout (15 inches) on one of your lures in a meadow stream.
I look forward to using your lures as my primary spinner, and I hope you never stop making them.
Thanks for a TOP-NOTCH product"
